That’s what our clients call us, years after they’ve stayed. Many of our staff members are in recovery themselves; they’ve been down the same harrowing path, so they understand exactly what you’re going through.
Come meet the family: a close-knit staff of attentive, experienced therapists and techs who care deeply about YOU—and your life-long recovery.
Passion: Directing and overseeing the entire clinical program. Guiding (and watching in awe) as people transform themselves during recovery – by figuring out and processing their underlying issues. Working with a motivated team of people who care about the clients’ well-being and recovery. I love helping people live the life that they were meant to live!
Background: Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Mental Health Counseling
Unique strength: I specialize in working with clients who have co-occurring disorders. I approach therapy from a client-centered approach.
I have seen an increase in the importance of the body in psychology, neuroscience, philosophy of mind and psychopharmacology over the past twenty years. This challenges the orthodox view in cognitive science. It downplays the traditional ‘mind-as-computer’ approach and emphasizes the role of interactions between the brain, body, and environment. I look at the current relationship between orthodox cognitive science and the study of mental disorder, and consider the implications all of them in my practice.
