Start your sobriety — Safely

The first step towards sobriety is weaning your body off chemical dependence.Trying to quit alone is dangerous: sudden abstinence can shock your nervous system and induce devastating withdrawal symptoms like:

  • increased blood pressure
  • difficulty breathing
  • muscle tension
  • heart attack
  • stroke
  • hallucination

Without ongoing medical monitoring, the process can at best backfire, and at worse lead to death.

Family Support

They’ll learn to support you… as they support themselves.

You’ve lost the connection to the people who have loved you the most.

  • You’ve bickered bitterly, cried endless tears, and screamed things you wish you could unsay.
  • You’ve endured years of heartache, misunderstanding, and estrangement.

Now’s your chance to start fresh, develop a deeper understanding of each other, and forgive.

Safe + effective care

  • Ongoing

Having a family member with addiction is a lonely struggle. Should I bring up recovery issues or just provide space? Will others understand? Will the worry ever dissipate? We’ll follow up with each of your family members individually to provide support and encourage growth & acceptance.

  • Targeted

Supporting a family member with addiction is complex. What is a healthy role? What should they say and when should they say it? What should they do in the event of relapse? We’ll direct family members to local services like Al-Anon and Nar-Anon where they’ll gain the tools to encourage your recovery.

  • Expert

Addiction devastates relationships. What’s the right balance of encouragement and space? How can you reach forgiveness? Can trust ever be attained again? We’ll help you reconnect and rebuild through in-person or phone therapy.
